BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
Spotlight Theater Junior will present a musical for children by children on Sat., July 24th and Sun., July 25th. In collaboration with The Boy's & Girl's Clubs, 27 actors have worked for 8 weeks on "Dear Edwina". Curtain times for both days are at 2p and 6p.

BARC
Sat., July 24th is Community Recycling Day at Kern Schools Federal Credit Union. From 9a until 12n, bring your personal shredding , electronic waste, furniture and building items and drop them off in the parking lot at 9500 Ming Ave. There'll be a hot dog BBQ and displays on how to go green. All the proceeds from the BBQ will be received by BARC.

United Way of Kern County's Annual "Day Of Caring" volunteer work day is Sat., Sept. 11th and they're registering volunteer groups as well as non-profits with projects for these volunteers. Deadline to register is July 31st.
